My name is Daniel Janett, and I was born on October 3, 1975, in Bochum, Germany. For more than three decades, I have been passionately dedicated to training, educating, and working with dogs. This journey began when I was just 13 years old, diving into the world of working dogs. From the start, I was captivated by the challenge of working with high-drive and demanding dogs—an inspiration that continues to drive me today.
My Path to Professional Dog Training
In 2002, I completed my training as a narcotics detection dog handler with the German Armed Forces. Following that, I deepened my expertise through numerous advanced courses, becoming a certified trainer and instructor in military working dog training. Over 13 years, I was responsible for training and mentoring various service dog teams and played a pivotal role in developing and preparing dogs for highly specialized missions, including work with the Special Forces Command.
These intensive experiences with dogs in diverse operational settings taught me the importance of trust, communication, and technique—essential not only for the dog but also for its handler.
Transition to the Civilian World
After leaving the military in 2018, I took on the role of training center director at Avias Aviation Services. My primary focus was on the training of explosive detection dogs and their handlers. In addition to hands-on training, I was responsible for the strategic development of the program. For five years, I led the center, honing my skills in detection dog work and expanding my expertise in leadership and education.
